London: Maritime Commissioner Eugene Lenn Nagbe has called for reforms to the organizational and operational structures of International Maritime Organization (IMO) in order to reflect the significant roles played by Liberia and other major maritime nations at the IMO.

Members of the press, the Liberia Maritime Authority regrets to inform the press and the general public that on July 17, 2021 at 1551hrs it received an alert from the Liberia Coast Guard through its Monrovia Regional Maritime Rescue Coordination Center informing about a distress situation onboard NIKO IVANKA, a locally registered vessel trading between the Ports of Monrovia and Harper own and operated by HYLAEA INC.

Monrovia, Liberia - The Liberia Maritime Authority informs the public, including maritime stakeholders, that the recent arrival of the Italian Frigate—RIZZO - at the Freeport of Monrovia was part of a maritime collaboration involving LiMA, the Armed Forces of Liberia and the Italian Navy.

The Declaration demands the protection of seafarers in the Gulf of Guinea as well as greater international cooperation in combatting piracy activity. The Liberian Registry announced it has become the first ship registry to sign onto the Neptune Declaration on Seafarer Wellbeing and Crew Change, joining over 300 maritime organizations in a global call to action to end the crew change crisis caused by COVID-19.
